Everyone loves to win stuff, and I'm no different. Here's a list of awards I've won. It might have been a while, but hey, you never know what you'll win next.
My short story, Brainstorm, was the winner of the Best Short Story in the Book Hippo SpaSpa Awards 2014. This story charts 24 hours in the life of clinical psychologist Michael Eriksson, a man so wrapped up in his own grief he wonders how he even has the right to tell others who to get past their own problems.
It was a great privilege to win the award after being voted for by fellow indie authors and readers.
My short story, Last Christmas, was the winner of the Best Short Story in the Book Hippo SpaSpa Awards 2013. This was written as a festive tie-in to the meatier novella, Bittersweet. It only took one week to write and to have won an award for it, as voted for by fellow indie authors, was a great privilege.
Thank you to all those who voted for me.
The first novella in The Bumpkinton Tales series, Bittersweet, was the runner up in the Best Novelette category in the Book Hippo SpaSpa Awards 2013. This category was packed full of fantastically talented indies so to have finished as a runner up was an amazing feeling.
Thank you to all those who voted for me
I was nominated for an adult learner award by my creative writing tutor, Ann Bates. She put me forward for a national award after releasing my first stories. This award celebrates all those who take an adult course and go on to use what they learnt.
Although I did not win the national award I received a certificate for my nomination from an MP at an award ceremony in Liverpool.
