La plupart ont p�ri faute de fixit�, ou faute de mouve ment. Les uns ont voulu pers�v�rer dans un repos parfait, lorsque tout tournait au tour d'eux et que tout changeait avec une prodigieuse rapidit� ils ont �t� bris�s. Les autres se sont laiss�s aller au torrent des innovations, et ils ont �t� entra�n�s beaucoup plus loin qu'ils ne pensaient et qu'ils ne voulaient.
