Brainstorm, to date, is the only non-Bumpkinton work I have released. Elements are based on my experience of seeing a psychologist, but the issues and events are purely fictional.
It is a short story and was released on 11th April 2014. I wrote part of the story on a creative writing course I attended when asked to write a story set during a storm, the rest went from there.
Clinical psychologist Michael Eriksson makes a living from helping others, but after a series of events he is left fighting to pick up the pieces of his own shattered psyche.
When he is called to an attempted suicide on a stormy summer's night, Michael has the chance to save a life, but will it be his own?
Brainstorm was voted the best novelette in the 2014 BookHippo SpaSpa Awards.
Brainstorm has received praise from its readers, who have described it as 'gripping' a 'pure pleasure', 'an unforeseen ending' and one reader said they were 'blown away!'
